Reviews from others gave me a green light to purchase this little speaker if only to see for myself what they were talking about. When I received the speaker, I was surprise how little it actually is! However, it speaks volumes! It works well with my ipod, my laptop and my friends were all impress that the little speaker was giving out regular speaker quality sounds! They all wanted to know where to get one! Great buy!

When I received this I was a bit disappointed by its size - on the basis that nothing this small could be much good. Boy was I wrong! It is TINY but has a great sound quality, clarity, ease of use etc etc. Highly recommended and I'm buying another one.

I bought this speaker when it was called BYTECH from Best Buy. I had read that this was a good item on line before locating a merchant. The item is so small that I can almost enclose it entirely in my hand so that it is barely visible. This speaker can open up so that the bass producing baffles is set. A small wire with a headphone jack is embedded in the indentation made just for the jack. i have to peel it out with my finger nails or something else if my nails are too short which they usually are. This is the only aspect that makes the device less than totally ease of use. The unit comes with a nice USB with self winding wire. This wire stretches out to plug into the other side of my laptop to recharge the battery when need be. The speaker seems to require very little recharge time and even if the unit goes dead you can recharge while playing right away. By the time you pack up, you have a recharged unit good for a few long sessions without charging! It is so easy to just throw the speaker in with your laptop bag. The device easily screws into a ball and does not open in transit.
The sound quality is good for this smallness of size but please don't expect it to sound like it would if it was some sort of desk top speaker system. Just expect if to be better than most laptop speakers (the only one I would not expect it to be better than is a SRS type speaker common on the better HP laptops). As for my laptop (a Dell Studio) the external speaker is way better and much more efficient. The sound is more natural and clear. My laptop without this speaker is barely audible for nearly all You Tube clips. Some laptop manufacturer might think about installing this speaker into a laptop design which includes its battery and the screw open baffle. I would buy one of these laptops even with a one speaker design. Who needs stereo unless listening through headphones or a desktop speaker system? What is the point of listening to two mediocre speakers when one is better?

no need to write much..with this cool design..small size..perfect quality even at high sound..
if this mini speaker doesnt get a 5 stars rate...nothing else will!an excellent deal..only if it had less wires..may be a direct usb or direct plug attached to it would have been better..still perfet though!

Mine came with static noise. After jiggling with connector sound cleared but returned after moving the wire slightly. Had to return.
