Caution. Amazon does not stand behind electronic sales and Sharp makes it hard and expensive to return items if they arrive in terrible, nonworking condition.

I was looking (very hard I might add) for a quality ipod unit/charger/player for somewhat of a descent price. This certainly fit the bill. I gave it a try and am very pleased with the features and quality. The sound is surprising from such a small unit. I went ahead and upgraded and bought (seperately) a sub-woofer from sony. Now it freaking rocks! It also has an out to hook up to your TV, very nice. The only downside is the remote, whoever designed this thing needs a check up at a mental outpatient facility. No matter which way you hold it, the remote looks and feels upside down, the controls are not where you reckon they should be…very annoying. Its livable but annoying.

I have owned this stereo for about 6 months now, performs well.
The speakers are not fantastic, but not terrible, they are also separate and replaceable if you want to buy separate speakers.
The remote works well is is really convenient.
I only use the iPod functionality so I’m not sure if the radio or CD player function.
The unit comes with AM and FM antennae.
I would recommend the buy to a friend for a small apartment or office setting.

I have been looking for a long time to find an ipod docking stereo system that is at least close to perfect. This one comes pretty close. I have bought other systems and returned them, but this one is a keeper.
Sound:
Fantastic Sound, preset EQs are excellent
Rivals bose, so DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A BOSE which has no radio, no cd, and extremely limited control on the remote or the unit.
Remote:
Simple to use, plus it does have enter and menu functions for the ipod on the remote
Other FANTASTIC features:
Looks fantastic, doesn’t have the gaudy metallic, spaceship,or boombox look of past sharp systems.
Price: You certainly won’t find a system this nice with all the right features for a better price.
Aux in for another mp3 player or your DVD/BluRay
There is a video out on this system for your video equipped ipod!!! very convenient and the picture on the TV is fantastic. You won’t find many systems with this feature, and it is a fantastic one.
Draw Backs:
Very small speaker wires (obviously not a huge deal because it is a problem easily remedied with a trip to radio shack)
Limited system controls on the unit (don’t loose the remote)
