Maybe so, but the FX300 we received will not work! There is no sound, and yes, the simple directions were followed to a T. We get power but no sound after adjusting volume on both the speaker system and on the actual MP3 player. What a pain to have to ship it back…

I have recently bought several small iPod speakers. I was looking for a unit with excellent sound, bass, and access to my iPod controls. In all honesty, this item has medium sound quality (at best), absolutely no bass, and no external iPod control. It’s very hard to use considering that I have to unzip the unit to operate most of the iPod features (view the iPod playlist, watch videos, use most controls and functions, etc.). This basically defeats the primary features and benefits of owning an iPod. Poor sound and lack of functionality translates to a 1 star rating.

I use this for my Creative Zen mp3 player. It’s cheaply made, and is worth about $10. But it works surprisingly well, except for its disadvantages.
When you place an mp3 player in it, you then have two sets of batteries to worry about, the batteries for the mp3 and the battery for the speakers. And when you turn it off, you have to turn it off on the mp3 player and again for the speakers. And of course to turn it off for the mp3 player, you have to unzip the case. It’s very simple to forget to turn one of the two off, and then you are wasting electricity and more importantly, making a hassle for yourself.
So, forget about listening for 5 minutes. It’s too much of a hassle to listen for a small time.
But, I have learned that I can use the climbing connector to hook to a hanger and listen in the shower! The case is protective enough that I reckon it’s unlikely to hurt the mp3 player.
For it to get a higher rating, there would have to be a system to turn off the mp3 player and the speaker at the same time, easily. Or the price would have to drop.

Within 2 hours of buy, the zipper got caught on the case and the entire zipper pull broke off. ANTonline refused to take it back because I opened the package. If you order, do not use ANTonline.

Works fantastic with any MP3 player…very simple to use…pretty loud considering the size and the fact that is runs on batteries…
