Sadly it seems that my iLuv is dead on arrival. I place the batteries in and clicked the power button, but no lights, no sound — nothing. I’m sure amazon will replace it but not before I leave for a trip tomorrow. Disappointing.

Nice Sound, but has the dreaded Blue LED Power Lite.
I use this with my iPhone (works with iPod also) to listen to talk radio.
The Excellent:
Nice Sound, Uses 3 AAA batteries (Rayovac Hybrid rechargeables are working fine).
The Terrible:
Manufactured in Communist China.
Has a blue LED power on indicator (it should be red or green). See link below.

I like this speaker. The design is excellent except for one thing. Like many products, it seems the company executives never went to the store, opened the package and used their product. The small cover you must pry off to install the batteries is poorly plotted. It seems the choice is breaking your fingernail or using a screw driver etc. and possibly breaking the product.

This is such a fun thing to use since I can’t play my IPod in the car. It is just perfect. Not usually a gadget person but made an exception for this and am not sorry.
