Nice to look at, cool design, mediocre sound.
After reading some excellent reviews, I thought they would sound a lot better, and not slightly better than my Laptop speakers. Did I expect too much from a tiny set of speakers? Are all portable speakers this tinny sounding? Disappointing, and for me it was a waste of money.

The excellent:
These speakers are really small and very compact. They are magnetized on the bottom so fit together. They also come with a carrying case. Very handy! They charge on your computer (about 2 hrs), so are completely portable- no batteries to replace.
The not so excellent:
The sound. I’m not sure what speakers the first reviewer was listening to, but mine are about mediocre at best. The sound is tinny in a regular sized room. The louder you play them, the worse they sound. They sound about equal to my mac laptop’s built-in speakers.
Overall: Fantastic for the price and the size and portability are worth it. If you are looking for ‘huge’ sound, buy something else.

I bought these speakers to use with my Mac book. They are fantastic. They are well designed and even smaller than I expected. I use them to listen to music while I am working instead of my laptop’s built in speakers. If you keep in mind that they are [...] mini-laptop speakers, you will be very pleased with them. If you reckon you are buying [...] you will be disappointed. I would buy them again in a minute.

First off, I recieved these speakers in a very small amount of time. They were packaged well, and I was really surprised at how small they were! I bought them for my laptop, but I also tried them on my ipod, and they work very well. I wonder if i could use my ipod wall adapter to charge them? Just a thought. They are certainly fantastic speakers, and I would recomend them to anyone.

I was looking for a compact speaker for my laptop and happened to come across these. They looked so small, I wasn’t sure if they would sound excellent. After plugging them in, I have absolutely not regrets. The packaging is brilliant – the cords are flat and retractable, so they neatly roll back in. The magnetic base on the speakers holds the two parts as a single piece for storage & makes it very portable. I did not notice a significant increase in the bass when the top is lifted, but there is plenty without the ‘lift’, so I personally don’t see a need to raise the top.
If I absolutely have to come up with a ‘negative’ for this speaker, it would be that the speakers can’t be charged while they are in use – the battery is in the USB side of the unit and this is the only piece that needs to be charged. After it is charged, the same USB cable provides the power for the other speaker and draws the sound from it. So you cannot charge the speakers and use them at the same time. I have not run the batteries down to see how long they last, but they have run for at least 4 hours straight.
I can certainly see why someone who owns these would want to run out and get another pair. I am having a hard time fighting this urge too!
